On the wine route, close to a strategic traffic circle, a family-run inn praised for its longevity and regularity.
The cuisine here is in good spirit, regional and personalized, using local produce.
Try the “Lerchenbuehl” menu at €54, which offers some interesting dishes: a declination of tomato, salmon trout from the Val d’Orbey, just seized fennel confit with bisque juice, Alsatian rhubarb and almond financier.
4 Cocottes
Set amidst the vineyards, this traditional house with its resolutely rustic and cheerful style exudes a warm atmosphere that seduces with its relative simplicity.
Traditional, in tune with the terroir and the seasons, the menu showcases authentic, generous cuisine, in harmony with the region’s wines, which feature prominently in the cellar.
The products are well chosen, well prepared and delicious – very pretty stuffed Vosges quail with morel mushrooms – and all the dishes on the menu make you want to try them. Very pleasant family welcome.
Tradition comes first at this family-run establishment in the heart of the vineyard! In the kitchen, father and son (Lucas, who has worked in some fine establishments) work together, always with the ambition of reinterpreting Alsace’s terroir.
Enjoy veal filet mignon with morel mushrooms, and themed menus (mainly in winter).
